The VFLB 42" Vent-Free, Low Profile Firebox By Surefire features a large, high front opening, with a spacious deep hearth. With no chimney, no venting and no chase, the installation time and expense for this addition to your space is no problem. Made for rooms with higher ceilings, this unit features a full 42" wide opening and traditional herringbone firebrick liner. The superior steel construction and flush facing, allows finishing with non-combustible material (marble, granite, stone, brick, tile or slate) up to the opening of the firebox for a traditional, yet elegant appearance. To protect your mantel, this unit comes complete with a heat deflecting mantel guard and a screen . All of the models in this series feature non-obtrusive side circulation which helps to deliver maximum heat output with 99.9 percent efficiency; saving on high energy costs while providing a dramatic addition to your room. The opening dimensions required for this unit are: 47" width; 40.15" rough opening height; 38" finished height; 21.5" depth.
